How to set wallpapers on the Ascend?

I was able to download a live wallpaper from the App store and it works, but I try to download wallpapers or use photos I find on Google, like the Android Peeing on the Apple and I try to use Gallery to set it and it wont turn out right. Gallery tries to crop it but maybe Im doing something wrong, because no mattter what I do, the wallpaper turns out HUGE.

I downloaded A Wallpaper app on the Android market to help set wallpaper and it came out huge as soon as I set it. Am I doing something wrong?
 
Theres nothing in that folder but the standard phone wallpaper.

How do I transfer photos or graphics I find online into these folders to use?

Connecting the phone to the computer does nothing to let me search the phone for files. It doesnt even show the folders or the SD card.
 
use images that are 640x960 and expand the crop box to fill the enire screen
this device uses 640X960 as defined

M860 HAS MULTISCREEN UI AS DEFINE ON THE SIDE OF SCREEN
the defualt center as defined by the ui isnt the center of how the wall paper is applyed.

i have had no bluring issues when applying wallpaper in these sizes
save any image click to open in gallery menu set as wall paper
