How to set up Photography Studio lighting?

What would be the diagram of a Photography Studio Light set up in a 400 square foot building? how many feet away from the subjects and how would you place the lights for effective results
Im using 100 wattage flurescent lights some are full length others are close ups, the square footage is 400
 
You may find it best to just visit a number local studios and see how they have theirs set up.

You may even find renting different studios for half a day will give you a good idea what works and what doesn't as well as what equipment you really need to have in your studio.
 
What is the wattage of your lights? Are you diffusing them with soft boxes? Umbrellas? What ISO? What is your subject?full length? What are the dimensions of the room? Square?
