How to send text messages with bluetooth using a Verizon Env2?

My little brother has my old verizon wireless env2( it has no service) an the bluetooth is still working with it but he wants to send me text messages and i read that you can send text messages with bluetooth on other phones like nokia's and i wanted to know if you could do it with verizon env2 phones
