Can I send regular or first class mail (not priority mail) with delivery confirmation? The reason I want to send such mail is for eviction purpose. My tenant wants to live in my house but not paying rent.(I cannot believe those type of people actually do exist. ) But anyway, I went to post office and I was told I can only do certified mail. However, certified mail request receiver to be at home and sign it. Otherwise, usps will leave a notice. My tenant is not at home at daytime, and she knows it is eviction notice and she will never go to post office to pick it up. So how to prove my notice is delivered?
Can I send a regular mail with delivery confirmation added? (I think that will not require receiver to sign it.)
Thanks.
