How to self install another stereo into my 02 Honda Civic Si?

I'm afraid to just rip out my stock stereo because it has a weird curve to it on one side. I was wondering if a standard sized stereo (rectangle) would fit in there without having to buy any additional parts.
 
no you will need a dash kit. metra 997899 has the installation instructions in the packaging. dont forget to get the wiring harness too.
