How to scroll in a window on Ipad?

So if you're on facebook, and bring up a list of friends, it pops up in a small window. If you try to scroll it, the main facebook screen scrolls up and down, and your window goes with it. How do you scroll the little window?
not like there's any slider bars on the edge
