I have a 2008 Corolla and I'd like to reset the "maintenance required" light so that it turns off after I have changed oil. I was able to locate the relevant instructions in the manual for resetting it, but it didn't explain whether by following the procedure of holding the odometer reset button will actually permanently reset my mileage reading on the odometer, which is of course something I don't want. Does anyone know whether your actual mileage reading will return after you follow the procedure of resetting the "maintenance required" light? Very much appreciated!
