I live in California I know someone who works for a small company and I always hear stories about the things going on. I've told him he needs to report his employer but neither him or I know where to begin. One day the main supervisor grabbed one of the female employees by her arm and shook her telling her she was stupid and wasn't doing her work right. He is always yelling at and putting the employees down telling them that they are f***ing stupid and that he can fire them if he wants because he has stacks of resumes from people looking to work. He has also told the employees that headaches, vomiting or diarrhea are not excuses to call in sick to work and if they do he will fire them. For all the machine techs and operators there is 1 bathroom for 30+ employees to share. This guy yells at them for using the bathroom if it is not during a break. How are all these people supposed to use 1 bathroom during a 10 min. break or their 30 min. lunch when are they supposed to eat? On the other hand the ladies that work in the front office have their own bathroom, the owner has his own bathroom and the jerk supervisor has his own bathroom. How does that make any sense that those 5 people have 3 bathrooms? They work in a warehouse running machines that make plastic parts the machines give off a lot of heat and there aren't any fans or ventilation. This past summer when it was 100* in the shop it was like 115* and these poor people didn't get any relief from the heat because on their breaks they were sent outside under a tarp as if that was any cooler. I know that the employer is supposed to provide a "cool" area for the employees so they don't suffer from a heat stroke or heat exhaustion. The supervisor refused to buy fans for the shop because they are too expensive. This is only a few of the things that are going on there. this company needs to be reported but to who and how?
