How to replace rack ends and rack boot of ford festiva?

Hi, A mechanic told me I need to replace the LH and RH rack ends as well as the RH rack boot before I can get a pink slip. The parts aren't too expensive, but I can't afford to pay someone to do this. I don't know a lot about cars, but have access to tools and can follow instructions and would much appreciate some. It's a 95 ford festiva.
