how to remove the radio of a 1967 ford f100?

i have a 1967 ford f100 and need to replace the radio, i have a how-to book but the book only tell's me to remove it thrue the bottom of the dah but my truck has a/c vents under it and the book only tells me hoe to remove it from a truck with no a/c
