Can anybody explain how i remove the metal shield which is covering the test point on the A62 ? managed to fully disassemble the phone but according to position of test point this is underneath a metal shield which looks as though it is secured on with little weld spots all around ( if you know what i mean)

Any help appreciated.

As far i know
Brother A62 has a Sheild normal one as A55 and others and U can remove it by u Nails
its testpoint is same as MC60 A65 u know...A bit of Cut with the Main IC thats all

the shield on this one just does not want to budge, it looks as though it is securely inplace, there are small type what looks to be rivet holes all the way along the shield, tried budging these with a tiny screw driver but just does not want to budge.
any more help appreciated.

so, nobody else helped u so far ?
if u don't know how to remove metal shield then u wanna cut TP ?!? don't cry and better buy martech box (but only if u had learned how to remove it )

PS: with a cutter u could had really cutted TP

Hehehehehehe, why to give money for Martech when Siemens solutions is FREE and Papunyak Stuff is the BEST.
For cutting i use little knife, and have very much unlocked fones.

You give money to Martech if you are a professional unlocker/repairman. Or even java patch without cutting is an option

Many thanks for all your help, managed to unlock 3 of these a62's that i had here using pic posted above and with N-Box using freiaufs2_st

@ronkor2000
I am a profesional and save my money for a drinks, instead to give em for a martech. Even beside that Martech is a commercial, Papua stuff is better.
I prefer cutting, then midlet patching, cause is faster. Just open and cut.
And i don't know how to patch when i have not the original SIM, and when the SIM emulator doesn't run.

any one knows what screwdriver I need, cant find anything on google referencing the screwdriver torx number I need to buy.

Cheers

Help!

I've cut the testpoint track, in fact its deep but still the A62 states network locked to all but Orange.

What am I doing wrong?

I carefully etched the track so it shines, then I carefully scribed a presision knife across the track a few times, well more than 20 really, I'm sure it's cut because there is a break in the track visibly fromthe gap in the shiner.

Anyway I can test with a multi meter for continuty?

Cheers
