how to remove front forks on a 95 honda shadow vlx Deluxe?

need to fork springs and need to remove forks to take them to the mechanic, id bring the whole bike but its 200.00 cheaper if i just bring in forks.

Lift and support the bike so that the front end is off the ground.
remove the front wheel and fender.
Unbolt the front calipar and hang it on the lower triple tree
loosen the bolts in the lower and upper trees and the legs will slip out.

About $50 bucks for a Shop Manual.
That could solve a few problems, front forks not withstanding.
