About 15 years ago, my ex-husband started up a small business, and put our son's name on it. At the time, our son intended to join the business (he had just left school), but he never did, and did a trade instead. My ex ran the business (home maintenance) for some years, then let it lapse. My son has now received notice that he is being sued for debts incurred by the business. He is dealing with this, but needs to remove his name from the business to protect himself in the future. His father has "promised" to do this many times but never has, and cannot be trusted. Any help would be appreciated.
