My handle bars are welded on to the folk clamps so I can't just take off the bar to examine it closer(shows different type of bars in my manual). But on the left bar the grip just doesn't come off. Ive taken of the bar end and loosened the clutch and light controls to see if it was connected in any way, but it's not. The grip won't twist or budge at all and the only thing I've seen is a tiny rubber nipple poking through the interior of the bar. I want to remove it, but I also don't want to damage it in the process. Any ideas?

While I am not familiar with that particular model, every other handlebar I have seen has the grips glued on. To remove a grip, simple take a razor blade utility knife and cut the old grip. Just straight down one long side is usually enough. Then when you install new grips make sure you use a good quality glue that will stand up to the weather-gorilla snot, rubber cement, model glue all seem to be good choices.
