how to remove a 1976 chevy c20 fuell line?

It's a metal fuel line, I think it's clogged, I tried to remove the end from the carburetor, but I only have a pair of pliers and channel locks. My efforts are twisting the fuel line, and I'm afraid it will break.

1976 chevrolet c20 scottsdale. 350, 4bbl.
