I'm replacing the alternator, and I have removed the cooling fan, unhooked the radiator so it can come forward, I've taken off the first bolt and bracket, but the second, long bolt hits against the wheel-well... It's about 5 inches long, with only three or so inches until it hits it..
How do you take the bolt out and remove the alternator? I've seen sites that say to jack it up and remove the ac compressor, but I fail to see how that will help my problem.. I seem to have plenty of room to take it out the top (although tricky), and it still doesn't fix the bolt problem.
The car is a V6, 2.5 ltr engine.
Thanks!
