how to reformat my pc using a usb flash drive?

how can i reformat my pc? i cant reformat it using a CD, cuz my DVD-rom couldnt be read by my Pc! so, i copied the windows Xp to my USB Flash drive, but it is still unable to reformat my pc? Whats the plan?
