How to reference your own artwork in a dissertation?

I am writing an art dissertation and we have to include our own artwork in it. How do I describe my own artwork? I know everything has to be in third person, so would i write something like,

'the following are pieces of art created by this author'

and when harvard referencing do i write some like,

'My Name, 2010. crying woman. [Painting]'
