How to recover all deleted photos..?

Well, usually once photos are deleted off of a camera, they are lost forever. There isn't really anyway to recover it.

The camera is a Canon powershot SD750
So I borrowed my sisters camera for a day.. took good pictures and messed with the settings. Then all of the photos got deleted and my sister is going 2 kill me. What can i do to get it back free? I only have a usb 2 connect 2 the computer.
