I have a 1975 Honda Elsinore MT250 but i did a very stupid, retarded thing, i freaking drove it around without and air filter and it of course eventually seized up the engine and now its dead and needs a new engine. But i heard it can be done it could come back to life since it is a 2 stroke and it should be simple to work on. But i understand that i need to bore it out and it will take life away for the engine and it wont last as long, but i was thing if i am going to rebuild it and bore it out i might as well spend the extra time and money making it go faster and give it more torque like porting the engine so more air can get to the engine, milling the cylinder head, changing out the piston with wesco piston probably go bigger piston and get a good push rod, switch out the crank shaft. Yeah my whole goal is to make it into a road worthy 2 stroke racing enduro i want it to top out like 90 miles an hour instead of the stock 65-70 down hill. I basicly want it to go what the speedo says and that is 90. So i want to know how i can make my elsinore the baddest, meanest, fastest MT250 on the road! What would it take for me to successfully rebuild and modify, improve this simple 250cc piston port 2 stroke engine? Like i said my main goal is to make it very fast but at the same time reliable like it used to be. Thank you and hit me up with a good, honest answer.
