Got the same trouble.
3GS ver. 4.0 activated with original SIM but cant unlock with "Unlock 4.0 malikkk without wi-fi" due to error during unlocking process.
Need to install cydia but HOW?

u cant jailbreak 3Gs with new bootroom ipt3. if u have old boot room and u didnt used spirit to jailbreak, then u can make custom firmware with pwnage tool. other wise u cant jailbreak 3Gs with new bootroom at the moment.
