ok so...i have a perm i recently got about a month or 2 ago, so in 2 weeks im going on a cruise. i know i will be swimming, being in the sun, and all sorts of stuff and i know what the chlorine does to permed hair and its really bad for it. so how can i keep my hair without further damaging it?? any tips on what to do after swimming/outdoors would be greatly appreciated

I just bought a product at Sally Beauty Supply for 6 bucks by Ion Purifying Solutions. Its a leave-in conditioner spray (they also have a shampoo and conditioner). Says that it helps prevent swimmer's green and dry brittle hair caused by the sun, mineral build-up, chlorine and saltwater. I swim everyday and like it so far...my hair doesn't feel like straw when I get out of the pool anymore! Might be worth checking out.

You got a perm? Nice! I can help you on the chlorine problem, but not so much the outdoor one.. Sorryyyy. Well first off all you should wear a hair cap as unattractive as it sounds it's highly suggested. Here's a tip: before you enter the water, put conditioner into your hair so it minimizes the amount of chlorine your hair will absorb. Your hair is like a sponge, so you should let it absorb the product instead of the harmful chemicals. Also you should apply the conditioner while your hair is WET. It deals with the same sponge thing as well. And after you get out of the pool and your hair HAS made contact with chlorine clean it with a deep cleaning shampoo

ok so before you go swimming, put conditioner in your hair itl protect it from the chlorine. also you might want to try biolace hydratherapie for everyday protection spray from the sun and other elements. hope i helped!! hope your cruise is fun!!!

always wet your hair with cold water before going in the pool. closes the hairshaft so chlrine dont go in it, take leave in cond. too use when in sun
