I am going to a one day hiking trip soon. It is going to be 8-10hrs round trip. The trail is 4500 elevation gain with uphills and downhills. I have heard that the uphills are a series of switchbacks. I am a skinny, healthy woman who is not physically active.
I have two weeks to prepare myself physically. I know I am not adequate for the trip, but I am going anyway and I hope nothing serious happen to me!! So my question is, in this two weeks what I can do to train myself? I need to figure a way to minimize the enormous relentless muscle sore after hiking.
P.S. I plan to jog everyday for 1 hr. On top of that should I add bicycling?
