Alright, so i've been coloring my hair for ages, but never actually been light enough that i needed to pre pigment my hair before going dark again. So now that i AM at that point, I want to know how its done. i know you are supposed to get a wicked red color and put that on first... but then what? do i wash it out? do i leave that red on and then apply the brown dye over it and wash them out together? will a protein filler help with the brown if im pre pigmenting with the red? or will it just latch onto the red coloring? and please dont tell me go to a salon to get it done. the salon screwed up my hair in the first place, dont waste my time or yours by answering that i should go there, cuz no matter what, im not. but please, i would like to know how to properly go medium to dark brown from this drastically terrible-looking ash blonde. all help is appreciated!!!
