How to portray Imperfection using photography?

High contrast usually makes pictures a bit more moody and brings out some visual flaws. Maybe try taking a picture of something apparently pretty close to perfect and messing with camera settings, like turning it just out of focus or over-exposure, etc.

I'm doing a school project and were using the theme imperfection, im just curious to as how we can portray imperfection using photography?
thanks :)

How about a bit of chaos breaking up a pattern. Or a bit of pattern breaking up the chaos.
A couple of guys having a knife fight in a lovely field of flowers.
Perhaps it is a matter of how you see things.
