How to plug a coaxial cord into dvd/vcr player?

I am trying to connect my dvd/vcr player to my cable box and tv. The problem is the cord is coaxial, but the dvd/vcr player does not take that type of plug. What would be the most effective way to connect the two?

Go to Radio Shack those guys know everything, they will fix you up with an adapter of some sort, or will let you know if you're trying something that isn't going to work.
