how to play recorded audio on android phone on computer?

I recorded an audio on my android phone G1 SoundRecorder app, and wanted to play it on my computer. I downloaded the file and wanted to play it on itunes or windows media player but i can't. How can i convert it to mp3 or other formats where i can play it on my computer? Thanks.
