how to play games which are downloaded from internet in flash formet?

I have already downloaded flash player and shockwave player but it says "the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Clock on ok to terminate the application." These games run properly when using the shortcut provided in the installation folder for internet application. But do not run if not connected to the internet. Any solutions????
