How to permanently delete msn chat logs?

Hi, I have just deleted the file named Chat Logs from my documents but when I press start on the desktop and search "My Chat Logs", it comes up with the names of contacts I have been speaking too and various picture files named "Msgplus_img****". Even though I cannot view any of these files as they have been previously deleted, I cannot get rid of them and my dad will wonder what they are if he sees them so all I am asking is, how do you delete the "deleted" chat log files from the search menu when you type in "My Chat Logs". I am running Windows Home Vista if that is any help.
