I have been wanting to paint my 1974 Gran Torino for a while now. Its red with a vinyl hard top. I'm changing the cars color (from a faded red to a black, not sure what kind of black yet) and i'm getting rid of the vinyl top.
I have read some books and guides, but I wanted to know what you guys think is the best way to paint a car. I have experience painting, just not cars. I'm pretty dead set on doing it myself, but if I did alot of the prep work myself, do you think I could get a discount from professional painters?
