I have a Canon Rebel xs that takes a SD card and I shoot all my photos in Raw + JPEG format setting on my camera. So when I get ready to edit them in Paint.net or Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2.5 the images don't open in Camera Raw format. Every time I have opened the photos in those 2 programs it just pulls the JPEG format. After I have taken my photos I have even explored my camera card and all I find is JPEG files and no Camera Raw files. Also I am using a PC with window Vista home premium so what am I doing wrong? Please help me. Oh one other thing I just took a picture in JUST RAW FORMAT SETTING. And when I put the camera card in my computer and look at the properties of the photo it shows that it is in JPEG format. So is my camera just shooting in jpeg format even though it is set to raw or is my computer changing it to jpeg? Or does it have to do with my SD card?
