How to open hood from outside 1986 Cadillac Deville?

How can i open my hood from the outside of my car? I locked the door key inside, i have the remote however, but the battery is dead. If i can open the hood and charge the battery, i can unlock the car which will save me 55 dollars so i dont have to call the locksmith. If i can charge the battery, i can unlock it using the remote....please help!\
