How to not be jealous of girlfriends past flings?

Me and my girlfriend has been together for two years now and I'm jealous of a fling she almost had before we got together with a guy she worked with she never had sex with him because she felt she was not ready but it kills me to know my sweet innocent girlfriend would consider sex with some one she didn't have strong feelings for I was gonna go to counsling but I figured maybe someone who has been through something similar can shead some insite to my irrational ways of thinking
