How to minimize Windows Media Player?

I used to be able to minimize the Windows Media Player to the taskbar and it would become a grey taskbar button.
But now when I minimize the Windows Media Player, it becomes a toolbar on the taskbar.
How can I make it become a grey button on the taskbar again?
 
just go to the control panel and take it off the taskbar then you'll be all set.
