how to make your gsm cellphone work with cdma frequencies?

I have a mobile which I bought in europe. Now I live in Korea and would like to use my mobile with the local mobile networks. The problem is the mobile I have works only with the gsm frequencies 900,1800,1900 mhz (triband).

In Korea they use cdma with 800 and 1700 mhz. Is there a way I can make my cellphone work with cdma frequencies? If yes what do I have to do. If not, please explain why not. Thanks
