how to make yahoo mail work for droid zio cricket wireless?

Ok so i did what all the post say to do to get yahoo mail to work for droid. the incoming mail settings take in my phone. but the outgoing settings are being denied. I have the sanyo droid zio for cricket mobile.under smtp i put smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com my port is 25 and security is none. i have a check box that says require sign in which is checked. i also have my user name and password filled in. i then clicked next and it says checking server i then get a pop up that says "unable to open connection to server" and yes i made sure my wifi was off if not i wouldnt have even gotten that far. please help
