How to make the pen tool in photoshop thicker..?

i have a photo i drew and i want to use the pen tool to draw lines ontop in another layer, and then ill colour that in... but i dont know how to do it? its too thin, i need it thicker, how? (i need pen tool because i want straighter lines, and curves which i wouldnt do as well with by hand...)
