I have an old wah wah pedal with little value as its a fairly cheap unnamed brand and im soon investing in a dunlop crybaby, i decided to remove the inner 'wahness' and use the casing and mechanism to make my own volume pedal, as factory made vol pedals are over priced.
ive read a few forums from what i understand it was telling me to (when the guitar volume pot is pointing down, with the 3 tooth looking things pointing towards you) connect the left 'tooth' to the input jack (e.g guitar), the middle tooth to the output jack (e.g amplifier) and the right tooth to connect to the back/flat side of the pot.
at this point im fine and know exactly what it should look like and how to do it, it then mentions that any earth wires should also be connected to the back/flat side of the volume pot, but as there where no other wires attached i ignored this. that's all that was explained, when i plug the small device (not in the pedl casing yet) between my amplifier and electric guitar, i get nasty fuzzy buzzing. probably a bad earth??
