either depends on what you want. Use a can of chunky diced tomatoes or dice them yourself. Or chop the fresh tomato, then chop onion, cilantro and green jalapenos, salt and pepper to taste.
If you are using fresh tomatoes you can also add lime and avocado depending if you like it or not.
And if your using can tomatoes, using can jalapenos will go better than fresh.

Here you go pardner!
FRESH TOMATOE SALSA.

3 large fresh Tomatoes (Chopped)
1 small green pepper (Chopped)
1/2 cup green onions (Chopped)
3 cloves garlic (Chopped Finely)
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro (Chopped)
1 tablespoon Jalapeno chile pepper (Chopped Finely)
2 or 3 tablespoons lime Juice
1/2 teaspoon salt.
Mix well in a bowl and refrigerate until served.
Bon Appetit.

Raw tomato; put some salt (just a little) on the chopped tomato to bring out the juices. Dices some onion and a smidge of garlic really fine. Cut up some fresh jalepeno pepper. mix it all together and you have great salsa.

This is a recipe i learned from my mother when i was younger it may be a little different then others but here it is::

3 tablespoons finely chopped onion
2 small cloves garlic, minced
3 large ripe tomatoes, peeled and seeds removed, chopped
2 hot chile peppers, Serrano or Jalapeno, finely chopped
2 to 3 tablespoons minced cilantro
1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons lime juice
salt and pepper

ENJOY!
