about a month ago I got a 2005 dodge ram with the 5.7 hemi, the only thing that made me angry was that everything was the stock low end model. Like I've got the really small wheels and of course no engine work. The only things I've done is new cats and new pipes for the sound, now that I have that, I need the speed!! Please help me out on what parts will really make a difference on the running speed of the truck. Thanks

The 350ci HEMI should not be too difficult to get a bit more power from.. Try the easiest way first, Get a performance chip. A good one can make 20 more hp. A Bully Dog chip would be my best guess at what to try.

You can always hot-rod it too. Get better plugs, better ignition wires and advance the timing with the cam gears and run a higher octane fuel. That thing would scream and make alot more torque. all this would probably hurt the drivability and twoing capabilities though. You would be trading low-end power for top end power.

Got money? Check out STS turbo systems. Then you can really make some power.

Not a lot you can do without getting into engine work and spending a lot of money, but you could go to a cold air intake and a chip reprogrammer that should be could for another 15 - 20 horse. should cost about $400 - $500. There are also companies with superchargers for the 5.7 they are around $7000.00 but will give you about 125 hp more. or go to nitrous, kits are fairly cheap and easy to install, but filling your nitrous tank seems to be getting more expensive each season.
