How to make letters in a paper snowflake?

I really want to ask this guy to prom via paper snowflake (there's a story there). But I cannot figure out how to make letters on the snowflake. I can do symmetrical ones, obviously, but is there any way to make the P and R? Or is there some kind of creative image I could have cut out so that he'd get the message and then I could write a little note inside?
