How to make decisions?

I'm very confused about my plans for the next few years now that I have graduated (engineering major). There are several viable options, but each has major flaws involving time, money, location, or what I'd be studying or working in....and I have no clue how to figure out what to do.....ideas?
 
Logical approach:
List on a piece of paper all the options you have with pros&cons. Then choose the option that has more pros or less cons.

Guts' approach:
Consider the above but let your instict choosing the best option for you.

Often our (rational)mind does not consider all pros and cons (there are emotional aspect in continuing studying, as well as leaving away from family and friends, in doing what we like but with not enough economic satisfaction, as well as do what we do not like and with a big cheque at the end of the month)
