I have to make a family tree pillow for my 8th grade History class. What fabric should I use? Please give me step by step instructions on how to make the pillow.

you need foam for stuffing then batting to help it hold its shape ,then some muslim to hold the foam and stuffing, then you need to decide what you want the case made out of ultra swede is nice it is fake swede and is washable ,also you will need to decide how you want the cover to close buttons zipper velcrow and you need thread for sewing.DEcide how big you want it like 2 feet by 2 so cut a piece of the material for the inside 28 inches wide by 58 inches long ,cut the batting the same size and sew along all 4 sides .Then fold it in half and pin the 2 long sides togeather and stuff ,pin the top closed, sew around all 4 sides and you will end up with a 24 inch by 24 inch pillow. Now take your outside material and measure it to fit you interior pillow and add an exta t2 inches for sewing on the sides and an extra 4 inches for a flap to close the pillow.Make sure that you sew the outer cover inside out it should look like a square envelope, then flip it to the right side put in your pillow and decide how you want to close it.

Yeah, I think foam is the best thing you can stuff your pillow with. Or you can also use left over cloth. It's also comfortable.
