Its true that i can combine modes like major and minor pentatonic scales together in one solo? right? I want to be a very good solo Writer. my favorite guitarists are people like jimmy hendrix, jimmy page, eddie van halen, and david gilmour. DId they know ALL of the different modes and guitar scales that there are? Did they know ALL of music theory? or did they just know the pentatonic scales? could someone tell me how much a person needs to know about music theory to reach their level of knowledge?
