how to lower my jeep?

im lookin to lower my jeep,wanting to do something like a srt8 cherokee just with my 96,how can i do this?and no flaming thanks i kno its a jeep it aint meant for it crap if it wasnt meant for it y did they make srt8 cherokee thats 5 inches off the ground,so please any answer or clues how to would be awesome!!tthank you
