How to lose weight by riding my bike?

How long should i ride if i wish to lose weight in a month, and I am going to build muscle at the same time so i hope it works [:
 
The most important thing is to get your heart rate up for at least twenty minutes a day. So if you ride -- and I mean really ride, not just coasting down hilles -- for 20-30 minutes at least 3 times a week, you should be good.
