how to listen through my headphones on my HTC surround?

I have an HTC surround and I have Zune radio on it as well but I can't listen to the radio through my headphones it plays without it but I want to be able to listen to the radio thru the headphones! I remember seeing a message that said something to the affect of "settings" but I can't get back to that message can anyone help me because its driving insane lol thanks a bunch
