How to lead a Healthier lifestyle?

I was really sick this week and ended up in hospital it really scared me and got me thinking I want to be more healthier so has anyone any tips for me such as what foods and exercises are best just any tips in General would be nice :)
I dont need to loose weight
 
Lower your intake of refine carbohydrates like white bread, white pastas with whole wheat breads and pastas.

You need to get into the habit of reading labels, for example breads that state whole wheat are not always made with whole wheat. If you read the ingredients label the first ingredient listed is what the product mostly consist of, therefore if you read whole wheat then your getting a whole wheat bread / pasta, etc.

Try to eat whole foods like vegetables and fruits rather than using canned vegetables or fruits. Frozen vegetables are just as good as the fresh vegetables and a lot better than canned.

Do drink water with your meals and get at least one hour of exercise per day, that means you can go walk, jog, hike, bike ride, paddle on a canoe, kayak, swim, dance whatever floats your boat.

As for vitamins/mineral supplements, have you doctor(s) do an analysis of your blood to see if your deficient so they can recommend what you need to supplement your body, IF NEEDED.

Get plenty of rest, at least 8 hours of good sleep without stimuli, no TV, turn off phone and darken your bedroom to accommodate falling asleep faster.

Breath deep and profound, oxygen is a healer, don't forget to dust your home, vacuum your carpets and open up your windows to aerate your home get rid of stale air.

These little things make a big difference in your quality of life at home.
