I know someone that got a new number on a new phone to avoid two people that keep texting them nonstop, but they still keep the old one around "for an alarm and to put events and stuff in", which sounds odd to me since they can use their new phone for that. I'm just curious how you can tell if it is truly deactivated or not. Like once it runs out of time (it's a prepaid phone) what will happen if I try to text that number?
