How to keep from arching your back when standing on your hands?

I am 18 years old
Male
5'4"-5'6" (Yes I know I'm short)
155 Lbs

I am trying to do a walk over but my back bends when I am vertical and I fall back into a bridge. For me it is easier to do a back bend than it is to bend forward. (when I do bend forward I can touch my head to my knees fairly easily)
What can I do to practice keeping my core and back muscles tight?
